I live in Japan; I sleep in a coat, and my shower/toilet/bathroom area is basically an indoor outhouse.. I save enough energy.

Wow, a completely symbolic gesture whose meaning will be ultimately lost the rest of this weekend while everyone is out doing their hanami celebrating and consuming more non-sustainable resources than necessary. If I don't have a car, can I get an exemption from this voluntary blackout?
