This reminds me of a government White Paper I translated some time ago. It had reams of statistical evidence to prove that the more Japanese women conformed to a "normal" housewife lifestyle, the higher their satisfaction with their life.

I can draw two opposing hypotheses from this data:

1. Women inherently like being subservient housewives.
2. Men will make them miserable if they don't.

Haha, exactly. The Japanese environment isn't exactly set up to reward independent, assertive, women with high aspirations. It's even difficult in the west.

That being said, I do agree with TakeTroll to a certain extent (:eek:). Some women, for whatever reason, do feel more comfortable in a subserviant role, and I don't see anything wrong with that (unlike some in modern society that try to encourage everyone in a relationship to be the dominant partner). A big caveat to this is that men should understand that some women don't feel comfortable in that role, and may feel more comfortable in a dominant position over a man...and as long as she can find a male partner who is more comfortable seing submissive, god bless 'em, I say. Go forth and be fruitfull.
