[/floatr]Sixteen year old idol Yuka Kuramochi has written on her blog how she dealt with a molester on the Yamanote line yesterday morning. She says that she was on her way to school as usual during rush hour when she felt herself being groped. She angrily grabbed the guy's hand and told him to get off at the next station. The guy made a break for it when they reached Shibuya station so she used a karate kick to bring him down and passers-by helped her restrain him. Police arrived to detain the man and she learned from them that he had been apprehended before for a similar offence. Some commenters to her blog wonder why she didn't move away from the guy and others doubt whether she really could have brought down a grown man. Kuramochi replies that she shouldn't have to move away - difficult anyway on a crowded train - and adds that she was so angry her karate moves were more explosive than anything she's done in training. She thanks the people who helped her on the platform as well as her family, police and management company who helped her through the day. Other commenters wonder whether her story might not encourage some people to make "false claims" to which Kuramochi says of course that is also deplorable but since the man turned out to be a habitual offender and she was obliged to miss school to make a full report to the police, she feels fully justified in her actions and hopes that more people will do what she did to get rid of perverts on the trains.
