The article said the magic word "petrified" which describes Japan in both its meanings, "fosselized" and "scared." Let's "petrified"!
"Japan is petrified of offering even the slightest concession given the world trade round is still alive and given Australia's status as head of the Cairns Group [of free trading nations]," one source said.

Japan should beg Australia for trade.. I mean their economy is going to piss here, and China is stepping up it's showing in the worldly trade market.. which obviously will overshadow Japan...

Japanese need to learn the expression:
"You snooze, you loose!"

And if they'd let the Aussies sell their agri-products the prices will undoubtedly tumble and I can buy more suika, meron, and so on...

All very well said..

I just sometime scratch my head in amazement how some people don't want to fix problems or make positive steps to improve their business. I was at a meeting this morning with an excellent proposal with zero risk but it was "all too hard"!! uurrgghh

It's a workplace exactly like that which keeps me coming here everyday!

Little did I know when I did chose to do Japanese in highschool that it would end up leading me to a whole world of pain. :? No wonder all those books that sold like hot cakes during the 80s about Japanese management and why it is so great have been replaced with books that have titles like 'Why Japanese management doesn't work, and probably never did'. The most amazing thing about the bubble was that it occurred in spite of Japanese management practices!
