New Docomo Logo Unveiled

NTT Docomo says the logo will go into regular use from July 1st. It is being introduced as part of a broader overhaul of strategy which the company hopes will help it regain momentum in the mobile market. If you want to read the new mission statement, it is here (Japanese).

deadly dull and boring isn't it? Betcha they paid a branding company a fortune for this uninspired piece of trash.

It's pretty awful all right. Wonder what the ad agency's (I presume Dentsu) rationale was?

You don't have to imagine, it could have been something like this.. (marginally safe for work).

What you may not have realized yet is that it still can be something like that.
