Emu Captured In Rice Paddy

[floatr]Image[/floatr]Mainichi: Old man's emu escapes, caught in Oita rice paddy
NAKATSU, Oita -- An old man's pet emu, a 180-centimeter-tall flightless Australian bird, was caught in a rice paddy here Monday after escaping the previous day, police said. The bird was found strutting around in the paddy about 100 meters away from the 84-year-old owner's home. Nobody was injured during the bird's escape and no damage was reported. The bird went missing on Sunday.

My kid saw an emu for the first time last week in South Florida... I told my kid it was an Ostrich... Duh!!! :confused:
