Always the gaijin's fault...

Postby mikey_likesit » Fri May 16, 2008 1:09 pm

I know it seems shitty to join and start bitching and moaning on my first post, but I just had to vent and figured this might be the place to do it. Is anyone else totally pissed off by the time you get to the end of this article???
...Ichikawa allegedly first purchased cannabis for personal use from foreigners in the Minami entertainment district of Osaka about five years ago, and began selling the illegal substance at a profit about three years ago, the police said.

I was foolish enough to get my hopes up that they would actually just say that this Japanese kid was selling dope and got busted along with his 2 other Japanese buddies who were also selling to Japanese buyers. Why the hell is it so necessary for them to toss in some stupid remark at the end about the first time he smoked weed he bought it from a gaijin? That's probably just bullshit anyway, all the guys I know in Tokyo who sell decent dope are Japanese! After 5 years it still pisses me off that Japanese people try to portray themselves as victims of a gaijin invasion even when they're clearly the ones causing so many of the problems...

I think you're just getting your knickers in a knot. There seems to be no beat-up in the article over the fact that shock-horror a GAIJIN is responsible for the whole sorry mess.

Oh, and welcome to fucked gaijin. After a while, you'll stop caring about articles like this too. Just give it more than 5 years.

i knew this kid in tokyo that carried around a rolled up american dollar bill to snort coke through.. in his mind i guess it fit into his whole drug lifestyle stereotype..
japanese people always seem to have the keen ability to seperate themselves and their 'heritage' from what the might do on a daily basis.
i.e. eat at mcdonalds, but still harp on about the health benefits of japanese food.

That's perfectly fine. This forum was started to allow gaijin to bitch and moan about their plight. Welcome aboard the FG train.

It's the standard excuse any perp gives to the police when busted for drugs to avoid having to give up any acquaintances. It is easy to say you can't remember names or faces if you say you dealt with a foreigner.

Can you blame them for not remembering gaijin faces? We all look alike, you know.

Where there is smoke in Japan there is usually:

a) a farmer burning rice stubble in his field for reasons that have been adequately explained to me,

b) a yak burning down a building to collect on the insurance,

c) or a salaryman sitting in a non-smoking section of a restaurant/station/public office.

Mikey

Its called the......

JAPANESE
DENIAL
SYNDROME

well thats what I call it, and my friend it is 100% reliable, true and real.

You can count on it everytime something "criminal" happens in Japan...it was a FG, or started by an FG, or an FG taught the Japanese how to do it, or an FG was nearby(so they arrested him), or if only Japanese were involved it wasn't really that bad...if it was..it happens everywhere...if it doesn't...then it was a lie...If not... you are just a japan basher.

why is everyone so suprised?

Take a look at how they deal with that...thing..erm..you know...incident...er scuffle...bit of a fight....when they saved Asia....oh what was it called? World...something...Great East ....Oh I can;t remember...oh well see... probably never happened!!

That can be a very real scenario in most cases. But with the J-fuzz, you have to remember their investigative report is to show "a confession", easy when caught with the goods, "remorse", the canned written apology and "cooperation", where the do-badder assists the police in the investigation. The police then promise that this will make the prosecutor more lenient and the chance for a lighter sentence from judge!

The people who have been drug (pun intended) though this before have found that every name they give up has that person searched and/or arrested, or at least dragged in and interrogated until no more names are forthcoming. It is not until that point which the fuzz dono feel that the investigation is complete.

As a result, it came from a FG (usually in Roppongi, or the like) has been adopted as the standard because they know it can't be further pursued and it protects friends and possibly keeps them safe from any Yak connections who could retaliate at a later date.
