I don't think non-Japanese can join the SDF but you have to imagine that it's only a matter of time before some foreigner wanders in to get a sailor suit photo for his blog.

That foreigner was almost me, but I had Omae Mona Jr. in tow when I walked past it, so I didn't have time to go in. Frankly I wasn't paying much attention, and I thought it was a strange new cosplay supply shop.

Eh. I already have a full set of GSDF dress and combat uniforms and equipment courtesy of a friend of mine who's in the reserve forces. Granted, there would be no way in hell I would wear any of it in Tokyo of all places - I appreciate not being incarcerated in Japanese prison.

It's all pretty expensive, but I get a kick out of this stuff because it's technically cosplay when the real personnel are wearing it...
