Just reminded me that my daughter's school (Japanese) in San Francisco has its undo-kai tomorrow...

One of the reason's I came across this video is that there is a story (Japanese) about an undo-kai kibasen event. There were 89 pupils divided up into groups of 4 which meant that one pupil didn't get a turn and his parents complained. It actually seems like a relatively small oversight by the school and they have apologized, saying that the staff were too concerned about the safety of those taking part. However, in a society where you are judged on whether you are part of the in crowd or not, some of the commenters on 2ch are predicting that this kid could become a random stabber in the future.
