I'm feeling a bit ambivalent about a live action Evangelion film. Even if you get a good cast, decent script and some good computer graphics, some things just don't translate well from animation to live action.

Hmm. Same STYLE, but completely different. The one in the evangelion trailer has the sound of what I want to call staff rings. The rings/bells that are on a priests staff and jingles as he walks.

Ive heard both songs before. Once Ive heard a piece I never forget that I've heard it. I just dont remember WHERE. It may indeed be GITS2 but its a different piece from that in the trailer.

Ive been trying to find info about that track for ages... probably would be much easier with Japanese language power. Does anyone know anything of the style of the vocals? It sounds pre-enka *in a very good way* and apparently uses a really archaic classical Japanese. Ive been wanting to find more of this music since first hearing it in Ghost in the Shell 1. The combination of visuals and that opening track over a nice stereo never fails to make me eargasm...
