Why would you want to spend money on a lawyer when you have so many "experts" right here ready and willing to offer free (as well as conflicting and totally inacurate) information! I mean you only have to look at the thread on how to get an eijyuken to see what I mean!;)

Come on, now. Everyone knows the easiest way to get eijuken is to defect to North Korea, marry a kidnapped Japanese person, and come with your spouse to Japan when he or she repatriates. The process takes decades so it's not much different from more orthodox methods and the nice part is it's guaranteed (unlike applying as a single, tax paying, contributor to society who's been in country for years).

Tommy - I PM'ed you with what little info and great moral support I could. Will stand by if you need anything else.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.
