That's cool and all, but I can just imagine the classroom distractioin that'll be. As if camera phones and text messages weren't enough to deal with.

Tiny Digital Tuner Chip for Mobiles

Postby Taro Toporific » Thu Sep 25, 2003 9:17 am

The problem is neither of these press releases address the question of reception. As well all know, the car TVs which are included in most GPS units provide very marginal reception. A digital tuner for mobiles would seem to have greater problems in terms of the antenna's orientation and reception during movement. I'm envisioning some kind Mickey Mouse setup such as a 1/2 meter sat dish mounted on a Rob Pongi Helmet.

If they are like the portable lcd tv's then no they can scan for channels, i dont know about the range of UHF but i know that you can use them in ireland but i am not sure about the UK or America. Althoufh ireland and the UK use UHF the range is slightly different so you cant get all the broadcast channels.
Am I still not allowed to have a sig?
