Went there once, didn't get laid, so I'd hafta agree with you.

Sydney is one of Nagoya's sister cities, so it's likely Nagoya is roughly comparable to the jewel of Austalia. :D

Wait...wait...wait....I like dirty whores...underneath the funk, there's a clean whore who wants to break free...which is fine with me as long as she keeps the dirty whore mentality.

Consider yourself lucky you didn't go out to the Nagoya burbs. Shit, maybe the Sydney comparison is correct.

Just because you had to had work a little bit in order to find a place to get a beer at 10:00 am doesn't mean it's a shithole, kj ;)

And it's perhaps one of the only cities in this country where you can walk down the street and not be overwhelmed by a feeling of claustrophobia.

You got that right. I might as well have been walking down the streets of Tehran for all the good it did me in my search for a frosty pop before lunch.

The backwaters of hell. How can there be sooo many sexy tarts there, but so many dickhead foreigners as well? It's like they actually think Japan is a cool place to live and Nagoya is genuinely hip!

How can you trust survey results...

Postby KokuRyu » Wed Oct 08, 2008 3:28 am

...when half of the words in the survey are spelled incorrectly?

I suspect the people who don't like Nagoya are short-timers. Go home already.

Sorry mate. P.W.I. (posting while intoxicated.) Guilty as charged.
In any case, well done, you are really clever to find the spelling mistakes. Which ECC school do you work at?

20 years in Japan. One night in Nagoya. Enough was enough. Your 'short-timer' comment is just the kind of Nagoya vibe that Fingerprinted Tero was talking about.

Maybe you're right, but I just can't feel comfortable and fuzzy all over in a burg where I can't get drunk and laid before noon.....

Nagoya... let's see...

I tried to get in a bar club near Sakae, but as soon as I showed them my gaijin card, they rejected me from going in. Try doing that in the US or anywhere else..
On that same night, I lost my wallet and never returned. Lost my gaijin card, school ID, California driver's license.. Nope, not a good experience.

So, yeah, all in all, Nagoya sucks a big fat dick.

Lived in Nagoya for six months. True, not as exciting as Tokyo or Osaka but still a pleasant enough place. Big city amenities without the usual big city problems.

Update

Postby kusai Jijii » Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:14 pm

And "Dirty Nikeijn whores but too many charizma-man whities" is edging out in front now. As we head into the home straight, can "Nikeijin whores / charizma-man whitie" hold on, or will we see a late challenge from "Pits"? I'll wrap this one up in 24 hours.

Scientific Proof! The results are in

Postby kusai Jijii » Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:29 pm

Well folks, the results are in.

Official, scientific research has reveled that Nagoya is...

full of plenty of....

there are way tooooo many Charizma-man whities...

yeah, all the lesser charismatic mofos ganged up on me one night and forced me to leave town, so they could get laid. When you got it, seek medical treatment at once.

Seems like an okay place to me. Always have fun when I'm there. No contact with the local expats, but the local gals are hot.
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.
