Yomiuri: Designer apartments increasingly popular
Uniquely remodelled apartments leased by an Osaka-based real estate management company are soaring in popularity. The company, Aki, established in 1999, deals in designer apartments, such as a red-and-white striped room designed by cartoonist Kazuo Umezu, an apartment that appears to be in ruins with a missile stuck into it, and another designed by pop group AKB 48. The photos show the rooms "themed" by former AV starlet Nana Natsume. A 2LDK monthly rent is 149,000 yen or else you can pay 480,000 yen for a 3LDK.
