Jobs for: Sales and anyone in the IT field

Postby craxican » Wed Nov 05, 2008 11:57 pm

Ok please try to keep this as serious as possible without all the spam and unneeded comments. This is intended for those who are QUALIFIED and MOTIVATED candidates who are trying to get a job in the IT field or sales.

Key Notes:
-Japanese skills are top priority and yes Japanese nationals with less skill will get the job. That is because this is Japan and people speak, read, and write Japanese, not English.
-ALL JOBS ARE IN TOKYO, IF YOU CANT RELOCATE, STOP HERE.
-Most of these jobs are at forgin companies in Japan, hence the need for Japanese skills.
-Get a visa with atleast 6 months (talk to me if you have questions)
-People who reccomend co-workers in the same field are most likely to get the job because of the "team mate" aspect.
-Examples of documentation (not copyright protected or confidential) or proof of producted revenue is requierd for higher positions
-The average salary offer is typically within ~10% of current pay, dont expect more than that. If you could get more, so will I, hence I am trying my best for everyone to get high salaries

People who WILL NOT get reviewed:
-college students
-college grads (unless you are crazy smart, no Keio and ToDai arnt exceptions)
-candidates who dont have a degree, arnt certified, or dont supply that information (sales is an exception)

IT field experiace with BS and/or certifications:
-software engineers (with 2 or more languages)
-hardware (any semicon or LSI pros arnt needed but will be reviewed)
-design engineers (preferably in R&D but not testers)
-ERP/Entiprise Solutions
-network engineers (all kinds welcome, IPv6 and anyone willing to learn/know Web 3.0 are hot now)
-anyone with experiance in "cloud computing" and SaaP (extreemly hot)
-anyone from Oracle (BEA), symantec, Cisco, Nortel, Sun Micro (yes the sun is setting), or competitors/partners are key canidates.

Sales/Marketing:
-Pre/Post sales or genreal Sales
-Direct, Channal, or IS (someone with experiance in all areas would be great)
-Sales Managers would get the best offers (of course)
-NO MARCOMM, period
-If you have potential as a Salesman/woman, there are always open positions
-"Head Hunters"... If you do job boards, no. Cold Calls and client work is mandatory.

IF YOU ARE QUALLIFIED AND MOTIVATED TO START THE PROCESS, PM ME WITH:

-email
-resume in Office 2003 file format or OpenOffice, not .docx (http://skydrive.live.com/)
-type of visa with experation date or citizen status
-general area of residence (tokyo-to, minato-ku, minami azabu)
-time available for meeting within the next 2 weeks of PM (preferably 3 specific times or more)

This will be updated if this thread is put to use and is not abused. Any questions are welcomed.

I know this is fuckedgaijn, but try to think of it as, "If you want your 'fucked ass' to get a job, dont act like a 'fuckin ass'. Yes that will be the first and last pun from me on this thread, even though it was not funny.
"Here is to honor, if you get on her, stay on her. If you can't come in her, come on her."

I live by that, I am a dad now, but worked when I didnt want to become one.

Craxican, maybe you have a typo. Are you saying you will refuse applicants who graduated from college (your second bullet point)?

I'm guessing he means recent college grads with no experience...

um... isn't this spam?

silly recruiter, stick to job sites. If you are posting here you are already fucked, and desperate, chances are that your company will cut you within six months.

If you want to go anywhere in the headhunting field:
1: be 100% bilingual.
2: have game
3: within three years recruit yourself.

any longer than five tears and you get labeled as a dirty recruiter.

***EDIT:
I have a BA in BS, and a shitload of experience. New rule in international business; a degree is a piece of paper, nothing else. Experience is everything. If you are looking for experienced people I highly suggest that you drop the "BS or cert" part and look for people with five or more years of experience.

I agree, I got into the field while still in high school, and have had consistent work ever since then and I can't remember when someone has asked me about having a degree.

In fact I would say there are a number of the people I know who started out around the time I did, that have a little college experience or none, and I can't think of anyone who has bothered to get a certificate.

And this is why computer software mostly sucks, it's written by high-school graduates with no professional training. The result is stuff like this:

My guess is that those kinds of people would log on to job boards or contact headhunting fucks like yourself directly.
My guess is that even though FG has a "Jobs" thread, that thread was intended for people to share info / give heads-up etc to other FG in a spirit of FG goodwill. I doubt it was intended to be an avenue for headhunting scavengers to peddle their wears, in the hope that they might directly profit from 'finding' someone else a job. But I could be wrong.

So, by all means, go ahead. I'm not a mod on here, and you certainly wouldn't be the first dude to try this shit. If that is the way this site is going, so be it.

Hope you make a bundle!;)

Thank god I didn't graduate from high school:) If that is a real program I can't imagine what the coders were thinking.

I'm showing my age, but when I started in the eighties, the industry was much smaller, and your work was more important than what you had hanging on your wall.

just wtf is that program supposed to do? aside from boggle the user with its byzantine interface, that is. seems to be some giant redirection tool.

i would not consider myself a professional programmer by any stretch but i did a lot of hobby programming on my own time (in and after hs) and learned a lot more than what they were teaching in schools.

one of my hs projects was a very crude french to english translation program, done in pascal. it was a fun project and yielded some.. interesting results.

i worked for a small IT outfit in ottawa in 98 before coming here, and again while i'm no programming guru, the quality of some of the code i saw was absolute shit. these were college / university grads being paid literally 2x what i was getting and i had to constantly check and debug their undocumented spaghetti code.

the guy they hired to replace me (at 3x what i was receiving) was hired (via a headhunter) because he had "2 years xp with perl". which is all fine and dandy except he had zero problem solving skills and no clue how to debug. i had to mentor this asshat and told management how useless he was. took them until a year after i left to figure that out.

coding is really the smallest part of programming imho.

I regret to inform you, that is a real app. Check his website, all his products are like that, this one is just the extreme example of his "unique" GUI approach.

If you are a real headhunter, you should be ashamed. This is the shittiest job posting I've ever seen. Given the sheer unprofessionalism of this post, I would never recommend a job seeker to find a job through you.
