
N. Korean leader's successor may be named this month: report
SEOUL, Oct. 4 KYODO
North Korean leader Kim Jong Il may announce his successor as early as this month if the ruling Workers' Party of Korea convenes next Monday to mark its 60th anniversary, Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported Tuesday....unidentified diplomatic source in Pyongyang as saying the 63-year-old Kim's successor may be officially named at the party's 7th Party Congress, which is expected to take place this year.
