Cheapest possible flight to Korea

Postby Mr Doricar » Fri Nov 21, 2008 7:51 am

Hi all,

Did a search for Cheap Flight Korea (before anyone asks) but couldn't find many answers.

Gotta shoot to Seoul on first week of December to meet a family member who's apparently "In the area" so I've been asked to visit. Really don't wanna so it's got to be as light on my wallet as possible.

Ideally would like to leave Nagoya, but I guess I can train it up to Tokyo if needs be.

What's the cheapest company and combination of airports to go for?

Thanks in advance

James

I would go here and download the latest issue of the Kansai Flea Market:
http://pub.kfm.to/modules/wfdownloads/

The issues are in PDF format and have all the ads that the paper one does. You'll find quite a few travel agency ads in it, some for national chains and some for Kansai-based offices. It doesn't really matter, all the agencies can book flights from Nagoya, Tokyo, or Osaka. There probably won't be a huge difference in price from agent to agent but who knows, you could get lucky.

There's a No.1 travel in the Sakae area of Nagoya. Probably the best bet.

Also check the online reservations with ANA. Depending on what days of the week and how many nights they sometimes have prices just as good as you can get with the Korean airlines.

Korea in December is uber colder than most places in Japan so I would definitely go full-on with a heavy coat or jacket.

The cheapest possible flight would be using your airline miles. The last time I went, it was around 20,000 miles, which at that time was around the same as flying domestic with mileage points. I am not so sure about now.

I always thought HIS and JTB had some kind deal going on at around 100 to 300 dollars.

First week in December to Seoul? Probably around 35,000/42,000, including tax/fuel.. Bitch about the fuel charge, tell them you have a cheaper price. You might get what you want..
