Firefighters deal with a fire which started in an area adjacent to Kabukiza in Ginza at lunchtime today. A woman was slightly injured. The building was a three-storey wooden residence and other structures surrounding it took some fire damage before the flames were brought under control.

This was just a couple of blocks from my office and I'd brought my camera outside to get some shots of the Chuo-ku matsuri setting up.
I have a blog. Last update: August 18, 2013.

Good timing, good job!

You never know what you might run into when you've got your camera. I remember a friend of mine back in high school, we were on the school newspaper photo crew. One night he was driving home, there was a huge house fire, so he stopped and snapped some pics and then went home and developed them right away. The pics were so great he called up the local paper and the best pic was on the front page and the AP wire the next day. He even got nominated for a news photo Pulitzer. Well he didn't win, but that was a hell of a photo.

It's getting a bit inflammable in Ginza. Firefighters were called to deal with this outbreak on the corner of Miyuki Dori and Namiki Dori. No injuries were reported.

Looks like a symbol of the current Japanese economy to me....Going up in smoke! :( ;)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
