Students Given Heat Treatment

Postby Mulboyne » Sun Dec 14, 2008 9:01 pm

Yomiuri: Pupils told to take part in hot classroom test
Thirty-seven students were made to sit in a classroom with the windows closed and only electric fans working in the height of summer in a "human experiment" to see if they could endure the summer heat, it has been learned. The Omura, Nagasaki Prefecture, board of education wanted to see how the students coped with the heat with just five electric fans to keep them cool in the meeting room at the municipal Nishi-Omura Middle School. The students entered the room at about 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 8. With the windows closed due to ongoing earthquake-resistance work on the school's buildings, one student complained she found it difficult to breathe in temperatures that hit 36 C. The scheduled 50-minute experiment was abandoned after about half an hour.

Government approved torture, finally!

Fucking pussies.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

The JHS I taught at had no heat or AC and in the summer it hit the mid thirties all the time. It was standard. I would be drenched in sweat.

If you can't handle the heat... ^_~

I can see it now.

Student: "It was so hot, I was sure I was going to die... I could hardly breath!"
Teachers: "I was supprised how difficult it was to teach... Sweat would fall off my face onto my text books, making it difficult to turn the pages. I think I have a better understanding of what teachers in Africa have to deal with now."
Principal: "Experiments like this, help to teach young adults (or children) the importance of being greatful for the technology we as humans have created to help control our lifestyles. I think that it was a success."

One week later, everybody will have forgotten about the experiment, including the children from the class room.

Japanese should be used to it. Most public schools and kindergarten's don't use AC anyhow, so why are the complaints? Yea, I hate it, but Geeez, man the fuck up and until they turn those puppies on, deal with it. Whiny bitches! That's the whole reason man invented "the towel!"

Yeah, this is so true. Have you ever been on the packed train during the cold winter? The airtight, stuffy trains are hotter than a mother fuck but I bet most of those crack babies ride them like they are comfortable or in some cases feeling freezing cold.
