Positives about Japan

Postby Jadic » Tue Jan 20, 2009 5:43 pm

So I was reading through another users post asking how their best way to get to japan was. The majority of people responded to him saying Japan sucked or at the best wasnt what he would expect. So Im making this post to ask all the gaijins in nihon why do you stay there? What are the GOOD things about living in Japan as an Foreigner? I look forward to your replies.

Thank you

Every so often, the same topic comes up so I'm not sure how many replies you'll get this time:

What are your 5 favourite things in Japan?

Why we love japan

lol I figured women would be one of the answers. There are definately some attractive Japanese out there.... then again theres alot of attractive asians period. See honestly I was thinking Japan would be a good far east country to move to because its pop culture is probably the most like america. over industrialized high tech stupid shit and an over confident sense that their countries the best. am i on the right track or is that off?

hey on the serious side here for moment, are their alot of attractive nihon women who would date/sleep with/let their parents know they had anything to do with a caucasian? Ive heard japan is pretty racist. then again i just have this concept that japanese women would like white guys.... im not sure why.

Japan is -1 to the rest of the world's +1 (or is it the opposite?). When the two meet, everything will turn to zero.

shuttling between nyc and tokyo, i gotta say the densha and chikatetsu make new york's transit look third world by comparison. it's funny how i when i talk to people about japan it's the first thing i mention rather than the more obvious things like food, women, etc.

i still haven't figured out what this is about, though.

A dumb guess, but maybe it's a firewall. Maybe the rest of it is slid out of the walls to connect up with that part. I have seen them in schools.

Well, the wine and women, anyway.

The subways and general public transit. (although 24-hour subways would be a huge plus)

For someone who wanted to come to Japan and become a marine biologist, it might be about time to (as iraira advised) put down and step away from the bong.

I would like to clarify what I meant...it's time to pass the bong (my way, of course) and perhaps exhale.

It's a door. ;) (The rest of the wall is retracted up into the ceiling at the moment, it probably comes down at night for security.)

Hahaha. Coming to Japan as a marine researcher was more like wanting to come to japan as a english teacher. Not what I want to do for my entire life... maybe something to get by on. My true interests are nanotechnology and evolution simulation.

Iraira - sorry no bong, hope a joint of mango suffixes though ;)

Besides I never said I wanted to be a marine researcher that i recall. I believe someone suggested that to me maybe? I dont know. All I ever said was I wanted to move to Japan at some point. I was sincere with that, the rest of what I say I kid alot just to keep a light atmosphere the ideas i postulate are real ideas I have though be it possibly far fetched but its just a forum and im just being me. Im not a very proper or serious person. sorry if that offends you

man im not a fucking victim. im just me. if you dont like me then leave me the fuck alone. your life isnt dependent on mine and your account has nothing to do with me being here. dont like me? dont like what i say? then dont open my posts. im not following you, im not finding you to cause you problems. people were having a good time talking about the things they liked in japan and i was learning some new perspectives. fuck ive heard japanese are irrational, maybe youve been there a bit too long.

also i said micro biology, not marine biology. dipshit theres a big difference. microbiology has to do with the way organisms behave on a cellular level. its connected with my interest in evolutionary simulation
