Kansai Music Conference

Occasionally, the FG forums get inquiries about breaking into the music business in Japan. Over the last couple of years, a number of organizations have sprung up offering advice about how to sell your band in Japan such as this site which offers a plan of action in English for setting up a website, getting distribution and finding gigs in Japan. In addition, the slightly painful video above has some details about the Kansai Music Conference later this year which claims to be the "first bilingual music conference in Japan". It will include a series of seminars for overseas bands with details about cracking the Japanese market.
