Go Cards!.. Huge underdogs, but I've grown tired of Ratburger.
Warner will need some tricks up his sleeve to beat the P D..

GO STEELERS!!

That was an awesome awesome fourth quarter.

He's a piece of shit! Did you see his unsportsmanlike penalty later in the game? What a fucking asshole.. I thought the Steelers were lined up in the neutral zone on his touchdown, but the run itself was pretty impressive. He's still a piece of shit though.canman wrote:.. I guess Harrison's run was great, but I didn't see it that way...
canman wrote:It was a good game, although I think once again the refs made some calls that were suspect. The roughing the passer was really bad, especially when they let Ben throw it out of bounds with no penalty. And they should have given Warner once more throw at the end, that was an incomplete pass. I won my bet but was cheering for the Cards. I agree I am tired of Ben, thank goodness he didn't win the MVP, he didn't do much this game. I guess Harrison's run was great, but I didn't see it that way. Good game though. I hope that the Cards can keep playing this way next year. Larry Fitzgerald is amazing, and with Warner throwing the ball, they could be better than Brady Moss, or Rice Montana/Young.
Gilligan wrote:I'll agree that refs were pretty bad, but I'd say that it cut both ways. Yes the roughing the passer call was utterly horrendous, but I thought the personal foul on the Steelers' D-back on the sidelines was also something that usually wouldn't (and shouldn't) be called. 90% of the offensive holding penalties that were called (on both teams) would not have been called in the regular season--and while I would love to see the NFL start calling more offensive holding, the Super Bowl is not the place to begin doing it. There were also at least 2 VERY bad defensive holding calls (1 on each team). As for the no call on the play where Roethlesberger threw the ball away, it was the right call--he was a good 2 or 3 yards outside the tackle when he threw it away. On the other hand, Harrison probably would have been thrown out of a regular season game for his cheap shot, but I'm not sure that I would argue he should have been thrown out in the Super Bowl. As a general rule, any time there are 18 accepted penalties in a game, the refs have done a bad job.
I can't comment about the Warner fumble / no fumble though as, like I said, I didn't see it.
halfnip wrote:Fuck the game, what was up with the commercials this year? They all sucked ass... The only decent one was the Denny's commercial..

canman wrote:The NHK/BS coverage was pretty bad, they used the NFL networks announcers, the play by play I didn't know, and Sterling Sharpe is not that good. He kept saying the Rogers-Cromartie was panicking and rushing things. The guy is a rookie and played a great game. Also they kept showing the Japanese trainer who works for the Steelers. Wow, how exciting some girl pouring water into oversized players mouths. They cut the graphics and charts as usual. But at least we did get to see the game, so I won't complain to loudly. But I would have preferred to hear Madden and Michaels, calling the game.

...USA (2-0) will play Canada (2-0) at 1pm on Sunday in the Gold Medal Game at Fawcett Stadium after Canada defeated Japan 38-35. Mexico (1-1) will take on Japan (1-1) in the Bronze Medal Game at 7pm on Saturday at Fawcett Stadium
And to top it all off, I had Pittsburgh to win.
Well I just finished watching another hack job by NHK of the Superbowl.
Fox had a 5.5 hour pregame show
canman wrote:Does anyone know why NHK insists on using their own camera people for this event? It reminds me of when they do baseball games and the camera is constantly trained on either Ichiro, or Matsui, or whichever Japanese player is on the team.
