Eric Clapton Drops By Harajuku T-Shirt Shop

Vintage T-shirt shop Hello//Texas has a blog where they report that Eric Clapton visited them yesterday. It turns out he had stopped by on Monday but owner Miyoshi had decided to take an impromtu break with family in Enoshima and closed for the day. One of Clapton's band members, Doyle Bramhall, who had found details of the shop on the net, went the next day when it was open and reported back that it hadn't shut down. Miyoshi writes that he was almost in tears realizing how close he came to missing the guitarist completely. The T-shirt in the photograph is one that Clapton wore during a 1976 concert at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London. It is only on display in the shop and not for sale, so Clapton signed the shirt to Miyoshi who writes that it will now become a family heirloom.

Hey, at least they didn't spell his name "Eric Crapton" as 480,000 Japanese folks and most record stores here do.
