
Expenditure on food by university students not living with their parents has fallen to a level last seen 30 years ago, according to a recent survey. The National Federation of University Co-operative Associations (NFUCA) found that monthly food expenses dropped by 680 yen to 24,430 yen--an average low last seen in 1977.
