Spiderman gets lost in translation

Oh one of those wacky japanese 70s TV shows, anyway Spiderman's nemesis is about 10% hotter than Mary Jane due to excessive latex and ability to summon zords.

Spiderman the lost Japanese episode

Subs were funny, I had never heard of that show, my guess is it did not last long.

That video is pretty damn funny. Makes me want to get out my Hawaiian-made copy of Kikaida and dance around in my pajamas...

Not sure which I liked more, the Woody Allenish translation or the samaraimobile he was driving around in. I'm just wondering whether Stan Lee sold them the rights to make this or if the rights were just er...borrowed.

spiderman dvd set

Postby ketchupkatsu » Tue Jan 24, 2006 4:05 pm

I just saw a clip from the just released dvd set, and it had an interview with Stan Lee and the Japanese producers of the show.

Stan Lee went on and on about how much he enjoyed the series.

If you are looking for the dvd set I think it lists for about 48000yen.

yeah...there have been a few "Japanese Spider-Man" incarnations over the years.

This, as well as a Japanese indie B-movie and even a Spider-Man manga set in Japan where Spidey leapt from rooftop to rooftop above dizzying heights of two story Japanese style houses...

...don't ask me how Marvel let them have the license for that one...
