Among the roughly 2,400 men surveyed, 34% in Japan, 22% in Malaysia, 17% in Italy and 15% in Brazil said they were either only sometimes able or never able to maintain an erection.

"How much physical pleasure with partner?" Japanese reported the LOWEST physical pleasure with sex of the 28 countries at 57%. (USA 90%, highest India 97%)

"How emotionally satisfied with partner?" Japanese reported the LOWEST emotional pleasure from sex of the 28 countries at 65%. (USA 92%, highest Germany/India 96%)

"How important is sex in your life?" Japanese reported the third lowest interest in sex at 53%. (USA 73%, highest Korea 87%)

"How disinterested (perceived) in sex are women as they age?"Japanese reported 44%--in the bottom third of all the countries. (USA 48%, highest Israel 98%)

"At what age men's interest in sex declines?" Japanese reported age 61. (USA age 62, highest was Italy at age 67 years)

"How happy with your life?" Japanese reported the third LOWEST happiness of the 28 countries at 69%. (USA 87%, highest New Zealand/India 97%)

The Global Study is an international baseline regarding sexual attitudes and beliefs that may be used in the future to compare changes over time. Interviews for The Pfizer Global Study were conducted with more than 26,000 people, men and women, aged 40 to 80 in 29 countries

Work and money rank higher for Thais than sexual satisfaction, says new survey.

Thirty per cent of men and 16 per cent of women in Thailand are "completely" or "very" satisfied with sex, according to Pfizer's latest Asia-Pacific Sexual Health and Overall Wellness survey.

The survey was conducted with 3,957 sexually active men and women aged 25 and older in 13 countries. It found that nearly half of the men and women in the region reported erection hardness of less than Grade 4 in the Erection Hardness Score, with 4 being the desired optimum.



In India 73 per cent of men reported they were satisfied with their sex lives, and 75 per cent said sex had high priority. It was a different story in Thai-land, where just 30 per cent of men said they were happy with their sex lives, though only 29 per cent rated sex as important, ranking it 13th out of 17 priorities. Most put their careers and finances higher.

Sex was even less important for Thai women, with 81 per cent not finding it "very important".

Filipino men were revealed as the most amorous, followed by Hong Kong guys. Thai men lagged behind, scoring an average of only six times a month - but that's still more than Japanese men, who got lucky an average 3.4 times.
