It's good to be the escalator.

BTW, my previous one was from the most recent issue of AERA English. The writer took passages from two magazines (Cosmo and Newsweek) and talked about using each as a study tool. The vocab section, however, didn't distinguish between the two.

It's Japanese--It's a sign--It's random.

As a sign of the times, I found this Random. Japanese. Sign. while I was looking through a flickr collection of WPA labor welfare posters of the 30s and 40s. So, sue me if I'm slightly off topic.

For some reason it reminds of the Shimadzu slogan in Japan:

Image

"Access to your Success"
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Seems a little ambiguous--is it supposed to mean they can make you happy in 3 minutes, or that you'll be happy for 3 minutes?

I'm just wish they'd make the steak houses abduction-free zones too.

I'm tired of ordering a steak and beer and suddenly losing an hour or two and being left with mutilated cow remains on my plate. ]http://www.fuckedgaijin.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3342&stc=1&d=1240118714[/IMG]

If you're in the US, you encounter aliens only if you live in the trailer park.

Noticed that you mentioned nothing about being tired of the anal probes that the aliens administer...
