Have questions for Utada Hikaru?

Postby AlbertSiegel » Sat Mar 21, 2009 10:26 pm

Hi everyone! It looks like I will be interviewing Utada Hikaru next week and was wondering if anyone here has any questions for her? I am looking for questions from fans of her music. Please feel free to PM me if you wish to remain anonymous. The interview will be published as a video on miami.com during the first week of April. Thanks in advance.

Further staying away from the juicy stuff...

1) I'd like to know if she has any plans to do a follow up video to one she made a few years ago in which she was running around the street in a large bear costume.

2) She has a self confessed crush on Captain Jean Luc Picard of Star Trek: TNG, I'm curious to know what she thinks of American TV dramas, what she's watching, and whether or not she thinks J Drama will ever evolve.

The questions that keep me up at night:

1) How utterlly stoked were you when you realized that "easy-breezy" rhymed with "Japan-ezy"?

2) What was the name of the college you went to? Do you think you could find it on a subway map?

3) How's mom?

My questions are: 1) When does she plan to retire from the music industry "forever."

2) I heard she is friends with Ayumi Hamalot...I mean, Hamasaki. If this is true, I would like you to ask Utada when she (Hamasaki) plans to do something serious in life, like learn how to sing, write and arrange music for normal Homo Sapiens and NOT the animal world. I don't have ultra-pitch hearing.

How about asking her if she's ever considered giving me a call and using me for my body?

(going for the cheap shot)

Well.... considering that I take my work seriously and I can't mess up an interview like this, I think I will avoid the insulting or dirty questions. I will ask some of the good questions from the fans or people who are really interested that replied here.

Please keep the questions coming.

Ask her whether she's been personally affected by the yen-dollar exchange rate, what she sees as her role in assisting the world in it's economic recovery, whether she'll be adopting any 3rd world babies, and whether she'd be willing to let me give her a high-colonic with a firehose.
Just for fun,ask her to spell the word "Giraffe".....after all she did attend Columbia.

If you go here:http://www.kissfmseattle.com/

and select "Jackie and Bender ReDid" in the right margin "more segments"

You can hear her interview in Seattle. Go to segments 15, 16 & 17 from Wednesday March 18. Pretty boring stuff if you ask me.

My question for her:
"How much did her plastic surgeries all together cost?"

It's not the question of if she had it anymore.

Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

I'd like to know what the heck happened with mom too.

If you want a soft question that could lead to interesting discussion, how about asking her if she feels more at home in Japanese society or US society? Also, if you want to work your way up to some more spicy sex questions you could start with asking about her experience dating guys growing up the NY versus Japan. Let her lead you to the size discussion ;)

I'd share some green with you, but they say I gotta spread it around before giving it to you again.

The above, taken out of context, will bring the cops over to search my place, and have me deported to Ni-chome.

"Ms. Utada, you were doubtless exposed to Nietzsche at Columbia. Let me ask you a few things rooted in the great philosopher's famous epigrams:

"'Sensuality often makes love grow too quickly, so that the root remains weak and is easy to pull out.' Any thoughts on that with regard to your ill-fated marriage?

"'The higher we soar the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.' Would you say this applies to your legions of detractors?

"'The worst readers are those who behave like plundering troops: they take away a few things they can use, dirty and confound the remainder, and revile the whole.' Replace "readers" with "critics." Do you think ol' Fred was on to something?"

I didn't mark you down but I will call you out. It's one thing to have a crack at Utada, who is definitely fair game, but your comment was sniping at Albert and that's out of order.

I think Mrs. Nomura (Sachi?) claimed to be a Columbia grad but at most she might have just sat in some classes there. Not that it's important or anything.

Is Hikaru making a fishy claim?
