The photo is one of several of the cruiser Nagata from a Russian blog covering a documentary TV program about shipboard life during the 1940s.

"You sunk my battleship!"
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

That Nagato photograph was taken 1929. The Nagato is the flagship from which Admiral Yamamoto ordered "Tora, tora, tora".
More interesting was that after the war, Nagato was used twice at Bikini Atoll.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_battleship_Nagato
....following the Japanese surrender, Nagato, the last surviving Japanese battleship, was ...was taken to Bikini Atoll for Operation Crossroads, a series of atomic bomb tests....
In the first test (ABLE, an airburst) on 1 July 1946 she was 1,640 yards from ground zero and was not severely damaged. In the second test (BAKER, an underwater explosion) on 25 July 1946 she was severely damaged, and eventually capsized and sank five days later.

BTW, does it bother you that the author is a homosexual Jew?

Wow! I did not know they were making a movie of it. I just hope the movie isn't scary. I think it would have been better if they made a cartoon of it.

As for the author. Naah. I love Jews. (Jesus is a Jew) And FTR, I don't dislike homosexuals. I pity some of them and some are quite a lot of fun to be around. I just dislike the agenda that some homosexuals want to foist on the world.

Anyway, thanks for the info!:D
