in my local supermarket i see a lot of trout salmon in sashimi form, some salmon in pieces for cooking, and smoked salmon. but no sashimi salmon...


is "trout salmon" a type of salmon in japan? or is it like because it comes from the atlantic (and therefore is from a different species from the pacific japanese one)? i'm a bit lost here... what do we eat in sushi bars?
any fish specialist?
