Like Boston's Big Dig? What a cluster fuck that turned out to be. The thing was full of leaks and a fucking 3 ton panel fell from the roof a tunnel and crushed some car killing one. Not to mention it cost 21 billion dollars, 4 times the original estimate. But at least it looks nice in the end, downtown Boston looks much better without the elevated interstate running through it and the traffic flow is much better.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

Well, ive always been quite impressed with alot of the construction feats japan has. I would have loved to have been there after world war II and during their economic hieght just to see all the massive tunnels and pits they must have dug to build half the building that connect to one another with giant halls of resturants half a mile long underground, and all the subs and rail systems.
Life is like a bucket of woodshavings, unless its in a pail, then its like a pail of woodshavings

In the beginning the dig was going to cost somewhere between 2.5 and 3 billion. In the end it ended up about 23.5 billion not counting the side projects. Things that are not counted in the final price are: building the park that sits on top of the tunnel, the skatepark (that is still not done, or even started), rerouting the orange, red and green line subways, building the silver line tunnels, and a few other extras. About 7 BILLION is unaccounted for, Modern Continental claims that they have no idea where the money went.

Easy find. Just audit the books of the Mass Democatic Party, who's fun and games in the sun brought this wonderful project to life and who also hope to perpetuate it into eternity.
