I know quite a few. Like the old saw "more Japanese than a Japanese", more Irish than and Irishman would be quite appropriate. But where in Japan, that is just a politely aimed compliment, in the States, those bowsers take it to seriously and it couldn't be farther from the truth. Some of them were a reason the original IRA gained so much power and support from Irish backers in the states, who had little to no knowledge of what they were doing, or supporting.

Yeah, some of the pubs in the Manhattan neighborhood I grew up in used to have IRA fundraising nights. Real fucking scum bags.
