Tokyo-Area Starbucks Offering Wireless Service

Postby Catoneinutica » Wed Feb 20, 2008 11:41 am

My Google-fu is pretty abysmal, and my J-go searching abilities are off-the-charts stinkerific. So, that mea culpa out of the way, does anyone know if there exists a list of Starbucks in Tokyo where an FG can access a wireless connection?

Grazie!

- Has anyone ever determined how long you can lurk in a Starbucks before they actually kick your ass out? It'd be interesting if a brazen FG would step up to the plate and take it to the limit, baby, like the guy who spent the whole day, from 7 AM to 10 PM, at a Home Depot.

Dunno if this qualifies, but why not just head out to the Shinsei Bank building in Kasumigaseki? They've got wireless and since it's basically a lobby, you are free to use the internet for as long as you like and there's a SB right there as well.

Here ya go.

I've been trying some of the SBUX outlets on Halfnip's list, and none of them have wireless - at least not anymore. Anyone have any updated info?
I used this site to find a Seattle's Best Coffee outlet in Ginza, which has been working out pretty well:

I'd still like a few more options, however (besides lurking outside of Apple stores).

I have noticed on the Tully's Coffee website (machine translation) that about 40-50% their Tokyo locations offer free "LAN" meaning WiFi.

I wish it was that way too, but it appears that the free "LAN" isn't free "LAN": you have to be a paid subscriber to one of the providers listed (all of which are NTT).
