I hope this time around Spielberg can put in a few US military characters who can actually shoot at the enemy without being put into a long drawn out moral dilemma or only after being put into an impossible situation with no other choice.

Unfortunately, that's what they use to sell the movie. The real life dilemmas get played out long before a troop would ever have a chance to see the bad guys. When you have reached the point where the bad guy is right there and doing his best to ruin your day with a Kashinikov, or some explosive device, there is no time to give speeches, or contemplate your navel. If you do, the bad guy takes your scalp and it's game over in the worst way.

It looks like a hashed recycle of Band of Brothers.
All they had to do was reedit the original film masters with the CG settings from the European to the Pacific Theater and swap the Nazis with the Japs and they've create this miniseries in no time.

I saw this movie when it was called "Jail for lesbian"... and it was much more entertaining...

You can't miss me, usually my wife keeps me on a leash when we go outside. She look like a german-lesbian-biker but with a japanese face. And I look like... some weirdo crawling on a leash...
