What a great fish, regardless of where he caught it. It really shows the merit of bass fishing in Japan. That is something I do a lot of incidentally. Goats eat fish. It wouldn't surprise me to see a big one come out of west Tokyo lakes. I have seen some incredible fish in some of the lakes. I doubt they have any of that record size, but 7 and 8 pounds are not that rare. Some lakes like Okutamako have some real lunkers, but because of the steep mountain nature on the shoreline and banks, as well as the strict boating limitations, they're difficult to get at.
This is a smaller 2lb'r that unfortunately had swallowed the plastic worm and couldn't be released...
