I told her this exact same thing. My folks had some funky ass policies that I thought were bullshit when I was a kid. They told me all kinds of shit not to do.. And what did I do? I went out and disobeyed them immediately. Doing so opened their minds and changed their bullshit.

I told this girl that if she obeys them she's just continuing the cycle of shit that causes her so much grief. She has a big heart and is sweet but her folks stress her out. But she obeys them because they are important to her. I understand her feeling but I don't agree with it.
