Ishihara demanded the panel reform immigration and security policies, saying that the National Police Agency should be in charge of immigration control.

At present, the Justice Ministry is responsible for immigration-related matters.

If anything is ever done in Japan to straighten out us foreigners...it will take about 25 years for any real action to be implemented.

You see...first everyone will ignore that there is such a problem, then they will talk about the problem, then they will ignore the problem again, then they will call into action a committee on the talking about the problem, then they will hold a general discussion about the potential problem, then they will.....well..you get the idea. The economy comes first! Foreigners will just have to wait until the PM gets this country into financial order. That in itself MIGHT take a while....

We have at least a few decades before the Diet hears anything substantial.

For now, we bad foreigners are safe...just don't get to close to those police boxes.

Oh I see now, the above crimes are reminding the Blinky about Nanjing(which according to him never happened)and the wonderful way japanese men behave so often.

Nah, you see, we FG's are easy targets because it helps politicians duck the REAL issues like the tanking economy, etc. So while the consensus building process for taking measures to fix the economy is neverending, it will probably take much less time to ream us gaijin.
