obviously the original design was manufactured controversy.

personally, the short kimono concept isn't new or all that shocking, all of the gothic loli shops have them. it's the suspenders that turn it into tasteless. while they do absolutely have a practical value (especially in the summer), or find it titillating to catch a glimpse of a suspendered stocking, the way they are worn on her just makes her look like a cheap whore. the designer said she wanted to shock in the same way that gautier and dolce and gabbana do, but she's well off the mark there. i can see all three of them snapping their fingers with a very fierce 'honey, you don't even close to getting it'.

having said all that, it's a fabulous idea for the next fancy dress whores hen night that i'm invited to.
