Makes me proud to live in Fukuoka... the mother/daughter thing I could handle, but the beatings are not necessary.

I don't know which is more fucked.. Japan Today reporting it as news or the actual news, itself. JapanToday.com should rename their publication as FuckedNews.com for it's rehashed conbini-contents they steal from other major Japanese news sites.

Her 16 year old younger sister? Her twin maybe?

And why is mom hanging out with her daughters and other men?

Possibly...or a typo..

Nothing like a good gang rape for adjusting someone's attitude...

Either TIJ or the brilliantly poor editing job after running through a translation software by the bitch monkeys working (edit: slaving) at Japan Today.

That has to be the most fucked up family I have ever heard of. Could imagine a situation being so twisted that you are going to rape a 16 year old girl in front of her mother and sister with them participating? This sounds like the most sickening, and possibly best-selling, porno video on the Japanese market.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

I agree, I have heard some sick news stories like they were straight out of Deliverence but this shit tops them.

This seems quite normal and typical in Japan. The nail that sticks up syndrome. Sometimes you just need to rape someone to put them back in their place. I had a japanese female acquaintance that hated her sis beyond all levels - she carried this bizarre grudge against her because her sister had once taken her notebook and put her name in it. Due to the typical japanese repressed social behavior, she let this brew for years and years, finally erupting into an all out war.

While not gang rape, my wife told me stories from her Inaka hometown of some pretty fucked up rapes of the girls there by family members and non family members. Seems it's not as uncommon as we might think.
Spare a drink?

I agree. I remember a few years ago in LA, we had a huge story of these twin girls(Korean)and the one twin was envious and jealous of the other twin, so the good twin(as she was dubbed by the media)had the grades, the boyfriends, parents deep love etc. The evil twin felt she was the black sheep of the family.

Am I surprised by this...not in the least. Social expression and behavior in Japan is a real problem as in many asian countries, but particularly in Japan and Korea, where shit like this just gets so out of control that these stories fall into the category of bizarre to vexing!
At the same time, to express your problems or to admit you have some serious social issues is taboo, but it's Ok to watch your child being gang raped because she has sporadic attitude.
But this being Japan, the girl will more than likely go back to her parents and so the cycle continues...
So much for child services in Japan.(does it even exist?)Rationality, logic and dialogue are all exempt from the Japanese dictionary. Why do these kind of situations have to happen in every city I live in?!!

Unfuckingbelievable!

Of course, can't have stories like that ruining Japan's image....what next, some gaijin scum translating stories from the tabloids..?

Yeah, when I quote from the JT site, I try to include the full text, as they have a habit of putting concrete shoes on some stories...
