That thing is cute... But seems low on the ground (i always scrap something with the Note... and get funny look at home from Dadinlaw when I lift it every other day to check for undercarriage damage... brake line are really exposed)

And why 5 doors ? such a small car should only have 3, it add weight for no good reason...
And... why CVT... the one from Nissan is a possessed deamon hell bend on making the journey miserable...

Make a 'cross country'/'Allroad' edishiun and I'm in... Best shopping trolley ever...

It just a mental checklist item when people with kids shop for cars. The 4/5 doors are not really needed for 99% of the cars you see on the road, but the public demands them.

...

Blame fuckquing Renault Image who has been failing at CVT for 60+ years.
Nissan and Renault jointly develop CVT transmissions.

Strange the way the needle seems to 'change gears' at high RPM... i'd be curious to see the flowchart for the gearbox software...

Nearly all maker offer CVT. Only Nissan seems to focus on bad CVT.

For example, your 0-100 video... During the same time I would do a 0-30km/h... at best, but with 3 times the noise. And a lot lot lot of miserable torque-steer (which for a car without any torque is somewhat... interesting...)

Taro... I spend most of my toddlers years in my grand father office at Renault Billancourt in the 80'... I know how bad they are, it was a time were their car were nearly water soluble and Grandpa was chief of the technical control of the paint and body shop...

so... the heart have reasons that reason ignore (somehow)...

I've read that some makers tweak the CVT feel for noise and shifting...as the smoothness of a properly functioning unit puts off some customers used to the noise and jerk of the other transmissions.
