There's really nothing more to say. I think perhaps The Japanese Ambassador might consider giving President Obama a mawashi.

Football Helmet as Gift spells "DOOFUS"

Postby MrSatyre » Fri Sep 04, 2009 7:48 am

How amazingly retarded. :?

I'm surprised he didn't give him a Confederate flag or something equally pointless to the Japanese.

It's a Stanford University football helmet, Hatoyama went to Stanford for his Phd, that's why.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

Yes, your typical PhD engineering student just loves to associate with football.

Yet another example of the Obama administration's cheap-ass, insultingly-bad diplomatic gift-giving.

How about those 25 region 1 DVDs for the Brits?

When you look at these 2 clowns you just wonder if they are reptile people who are going to rip off their face masks in few seconds... They appear to be already falling off anyway...

Christ. Stanford for a Phd. Did they have interpreter handy to read what was written on the helmet to him?

As it turns out:

...Hatoyama apparently excelled in athletics as well. Yoichiro Nakagawa, president of the Japan Stanford Association, was one year Hatoyama's junior. They roomed next to each other in a dorm and quickly grew close. Agreeing that "Japanese students studied too hard" and needed to take better care of their health, they formed a touch football team and played every Saturday. As quarterback, the team's main strategist, one would expect Hatoyama to have been the object of many a girls' affections. "Hmm. I never saw him on a date with any American girls," says Nakagawa...

In elementary school that's what the whimpy kids like me played to avoid the brutal soccer match going on.
