OT: Serena Williams looking pretty sexy these days

Postby kamome » Tue Aug 31, 2004 6:32 pm

Serena's new look trips up the competition

ESPN.com wrote:She took the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium wearing a searingly short pleated denim skirt with a form-fitting studded black tank top cut high enough to feature her pierced naval. The ensemble was accessorized with a black headband, armband and quasi-Mary Janes to match. The effect was sort of a biker-school girl hybrid.

I used to think Serena was spoiled and a quitter, while Venus seemed the mature one. But Serena seems to have matured quite nicely. :D

Good for her. I'm sure the bluebloods with their rules about "tennis whites" are fuming. It makes me happy to see her thumbing her nose at them, whether that is her intention or not. Go girl! :D  :D

Frankly both Williams sisters look juiced up on steroids. They look like women who used to be men, not sexy at all.

Muscular women can be very sexy. But even if I conceded that the Williams sisters look a bit manly, I also have a weakness for naval piercings. Wait, is her bellybutton actually pierced? Or is it just that the rock-solid abs give that impression?

EDIT: I just reread my original post. Yes, it is pierced. :luv3:

'Take this ****in' ball and shove it down your ****in' throa

Postby IkemenTommy » Mon Sep 14, 2009 11:11 am

Furious Serena Williams dumped out of U.S. Open after she told an official: 'If I could, I'd take this ball and shove it down your throat'

This was the dramatic moment when Serena Williams screamed her way out of the U.S. Open.
TV viewers around the world saw the irate Wimbledon champion launch a threatening, profanity-laced tirade at a female line judge after being called for a foot fault.
'If I could, I would take this f****** ball and shove it down your f****** throat,' she reportedly said.

It's probably due to all the testosterone she sprinkles on her cereal in the morning.

It was a bullshit call at that point in the match, so I feel for her. She probably wasn't going to win the match, but that's no excuse for the call.

As for Serena's response, at that point, it was an opportunity to let loose all her frustration. Doesn't mean it's excusable, just toally understandable (at least in my eyes).

Yeah, if she put me on a hold, I would just let her do whatever she pleases with me. Resistance is futile. There is no point in fighting back.

I hope they end up fining her the full $350k she earned for the tournament. The call could be right or wrong but the reaction was totally out of place.

Ya know what? For an athlete who normally doesn't exhibit such behavior and normally handles herself with class and composure, there sure are a lot of people that want to throw her under the bus suddenly.

People's true colors often come out under extreme pressure, especially when they lose.

That's a load of tripe. I think we quote that idiom far too much and put too much stock in its "truth".

Different situations have different kinds of pressure. I'm normally a laid back person, but there are certain actions that I'm not prepared to tolerate and will get me to go for someone's throat. Literally.

Playing sports gets the adrenaline rushing and sometimes it's a savage and primal joy to face combat against an opponent. Believe me, that IS what sports are...non-lethal (usually) combat with rules.

When that beast is let out of the bag, it's hard to put it back in in an instant to suddenly revert back to "civilized" manners.

So, she lost her cool. OK. Was she wrong? Sure. But to begin calling her names (bitch) and what not for an isolated sports incident is taking it too far.

Should she be fined? Yes. Should she forfeit her winnings? I don't think so unless she had a habit of doing such a thing.

I disagree. People's reactions when pushed past their limits say a lot about the person.

This doesn't surprise me.

I'm not sure exactly what Serena's net worth is but I have no doubt that $10k is pocket change for her. $350k on the other hand is enough to make it very clear that her actions were not in any way acceptable.

Ban her (and her fucked up parents) from the next few grand slams and she will really have to think before she goes Jungle on someones ass again.

btw
Coons really fucked up over the weekend,

1. Serena went jungle on an Asian lineswoman

(naturally if it had been a whitetrash honkey rant and the lineswoman were black/asian/latino all sorts of racist claims would have been made!)

2. Kanye West interupts Taylor Swifts acceptance speech when picking up an award...he thinks the sister shoulylda got ait.

(if Kid rock did that to Beyonce the hood would be in flames)

3.Lewis Hamilton beleiving all the BS brit bias of him being that good, fucks on the last lap on the Monza GP and gives away 3rd!

LOL
