Onegai - Short Film

Postby kurohinge1 » Thu Jul 24, 2003 12:39 pm

For a short film set, we're trying to create a Tokyo office in an office here in Sydney. This requires a few changes.

By law we have green EXIT signs hanging down from the office ceilings in too many spots to avoid, so I plan to simply cover them with Japanese signs.

For anyone familiar with offices in Japan, can you please let me know the colour of the signs (if they're not a set colour like ours are, I'll just make it up) and the kanji used. I found this on the net, which looks pretty good for a start:

The other things I can't avoid are the fire extinguishers and signs. So if you could also let me know about them, that would be much appreciated.

If anyone's really bored and technically gifted, maybe they could take a photo or two??? (My google search for Japanese offices was long, tedious and mostly fruitless).

Of course, it's also tempting to make the above signs completely unrelated, as a visual gag for kanji-readers, but the jury's still out on that one.

Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

And, no, it's not an AV !

Well, I ain't in J-land, but for a net-search, did you try looking for corporate head-hunter sites? I'd think a lot of them would have some office tour photos like lobby shots and happy-family shots. Hope this helps!
