Big Booger wrote:I am so pissed.. any of you have the rule for how much I have to pay for 33KM over the limit?
Especially in 40km/h (25mph) areas where you are doing more than 60 km/h (40mph) fines of over 100 000yen are notuncommon at all.

I took the test without studying, just used my basic knowledge of driving from America and what I had picked up while living here..
Their machine could have been wrong, there could have been human error involved. My speedo could have been screwed. Thus I thought i was doing 60, but it showed 90..
I never knew anything about the points system etc... or the 30Km over rule..
Could have been that the radar was pointed at another car when they got my plate number.. a mix up perhaps?
What do you think the chances of my success with a decent lawyer in regular court would be?

He wasn't speeding through a village at school leaving time you know!
Just because you don't approve of speeding,
or probably know how to drive properly, doesn't mean you have to lay a guilt trip on people who do know how to drive.
I used to race cars professionally and I speed everyday.
Usually over 100mph. I've never killed anyone, or had an accident and I don't think I'm god!
If you don't have enough confidence in your driving skills to do 90kmh you're doing something wrong!
