FWIW, I'm an Aussie and thought it was funny...

I dread to think of what an awful place the world would be without foul-mouthed, beer swilling, raucous Aussies. And Aussie blokes are doing our part for world piss, too. :D

Er, while I can't disagree with throwing the book at the racist scumbag who murdred that poor bloke I always think 'Here we go again' when people talk about the Cronulla riots (yeah, even Aussies who are natives of Sydney, I'm from Melbourne). I've got mates who live in Sydney and a few who surf as a lifestyle.

Pleeze note: Racist Lebanese for too long prior to the riots were in the habit of cruising around the surf beaches telling women (ie those not covered in suitable Muslim attire) that they'd rape them. Not isolated happenings, constant threats to 'Aussie whores' whose offence was to wear bikinis to beaches.

Same Lebanese in groups harassed and in some cases physically attacked lifeguards when they were by themselves or with another bloke. 5 plus blokes versus 2 lifeguards in bathers and nothing to protect themselves with. The Riots were preceded by a vicious attack on one lifesaver by a gang of Lebanese.

Yep they were Lebanese. Everybody who was honest admitted that these Hezbollah style scumbags had much to do with the organising by racist Australian groups around Cronulla.

Fuck those Lebanese whose parents after more than 2 decades of living in Aus (being given the privilege of permanent residency and many didn't want to become citizens or at the most were dual citizens) didn't speak English, didn't want to participate in the life around them, didn't even fucking go to free English classes available easily for them.

Fuck the ghettoes they chose to make for themselves, fuck their refusal to show any appreciation for leaving a fucked up country like Lebanon was and is with its civil wars and its problems to a large extent caused by the likes of Hezbollah refusing to stop firing rockets into Israel, and doingother shit that was like a personal invitation to Israel to invade.

So, rooboy, you enjoy the pleasure of Lebanese people it seems....

Take the quoted passage, swap "Aus" for "Japan" and "English" for "Japanese" and you've just perfectly summed up my lifestyle in the land of the rising sun!!! :D

Nah, no comparison. Australia's an immigrant country with generous social security (welfare) and different conditions from Japan.

The Lebanese I'm talking about are not all Lebanese but those who were rescued by our govt back a few decades from the shithole of Lebanon.

Our govt suspended normal visa laws to get them out of Lebanon, gave them free access to healthcare, funding for their families, housing and English classes.

In return - most of these Shiite Muslims made sure they never said hello to their Aussie neighbours, never made an effort to give something back thru the community (unlike Greeks, Italians and most refugees/migrants post WW2), and walled themselves in slagging off Aussies for their immorality - eg hanging out at the beach in bikinis and speedos, drinking at the pub and doing those many things Aussies did long before Shiite Muslims got the benefits of residency with no hard questions asked in one of the best cities in the world.

They produced kids who surprise, surprise showed the same hostility to the country that let them in unconditionally. These kids found their parents lack of English despite chances to learn it for free over 20 years or so didn't help them adjust to Aus life, the parents' lack of interest in education rubbed off on their kids. Who then decided that Aussies enjoying their free lifestyle were to be the object of their hatred because they couldn't and can't admit they failed at their part of the bargain - to do what they could to adjust to Australia. Australia's great for these kinds of people to suck up tax dollars, they just can't understand that they have some kind of appreciation to give and some kind of productive actions to make.

Yeah, Sydney rocks tho I'm from Melbourne!

Gaijin in Japan mostly are seen as guest workers except if you're married and even in that case maybe you still are treated like it (look at the fingerprinting every time you go out etc from Japan as if you're a toursit when you're married to a J national and have kids etc).

I'm not in Japan courtesy of generous waiving of normal visa regs. I'm here like most gaijin on a temporary basis. Becoming a J permanent resident let alone citizen is restricted.

Yep, Lebanon was a fucked up country with a civil war when those Shiite Muslims were evacuated to Aus and given visas gratis, no obligations, no legal hoops to jump thru. That was under Malcolm Fraser's govt.

It was still fucked up decades later when Israel invaded. No, I dont subscribe to the simplistic view that these poor innocent Hizbollah followers (Shiite Muslims) were harmlessly firing rockets into the Jewish settlements and proclaiming they'd never accept Jews in Arab territory - not Lebanon but Israel.

And then the Israeli murderers came into Lebanon. End of story. No, I'm not Jewish - I just know more than you. Lebanon is one fucked up country as the exodus of countless Lebanese of all religions shows. It's been going on a long time.

Are you 10 years old or something?

Rooboy has gone all wobbly because a couple of people, myself included, cited the Cronulla incident in reference to racism in Australia. That particular incident involved Lebanese immigrants, and IMO there is actually some truth in what he is saying, but that still doesn't excuse what happened. It was still an example of how some Australians respond to racial differences, as is his post.

Having said that, I think he's at least partially right in implying that the Australian government has screwed up in being too lenient with certain groups of immigrants, in what appear to be sweeping displays of magnanimity directed at the world at large while ignoring the problems it would likely cause at home. A bit more "cultural research" and restraint might have been in order.

Mulboyne wrote:Daily Telegraph: Builder James Anthony Dean-Willcocks charged held over race-hate killing
A BUILDER celebrating his 23rd birthday allegedly bashed an elderly man to death in a drunken race-hate crime. James Anthony Dean-Willcocks, of Illawong, was yesterday charged with the murder of Magno Alvarado, 67. Residents of Elouera Rd, Cronulla, told police of being woken about 5.30am on Saturday by a male yelling: "F ... off back to Japan"...The accused then allegedly punched Mr Alvarado in the head and body as many as 10 times. Another witness said he saw the victim thrown to the road, and Dean-Willcocks on top of him, punching him. Police will allege Dean-Willcocks was heard yelling "Ya Jap". Another described seeing Mr Alvarado tackled, "body-slammed" and punched many times. One witness told police he yelled at Dean-Willcocks to stop and asked what he was doing. "Mate, he's Japanese and he deserves it," the accused allegedly answered. It is understood Mr Alvarado was Filipino...more...

If the perpetrator does not get at least life with no parole,
then it's justice denied.
Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

people who haven't seen and experienced it,wouldn't understand. Some Lebanese-Australians (and that is what they are) have now taken over most of the biker gangs in Australia and run all of the crystal meth and coke and guns, and most of the armed robberies and shootings in Sydney and the Gold Coast end up being linked to them.Australian papers can refer to whites as whites, aboriginals as aboriginals, asians as asians..but when it comes to anyone of Lebanese ancestry they become 'mediterranean/middle eastern'...even the press has to bow down to Islam and the Arabs now.A lot of people are sick of it.
A lot of decent Lebanese must be sick of it too.The creeps that gang raped a young girl are now in jail with big long beards and talking jihad..hahaha gimme a break.;)

I am an Aussie too but between the Lebanese on one side and dead-set shit-for-brain Australian bogans on the other I am happy to be in Japan.I know I won't get bashed or murdered in the next few years anyway.Good times.
