François Truffaut's 1970 romantic comedy "Domicile Conjugal" has the leading (married) man fall for a Japanese girl. The whole film is up on YouTube with English subtitles, so you could just watch it all the way through. However, I've indicated the major "Japanese"scenes below if you are just interested those. "Kyoko" is played by Hiroko Berghauer, better known in Japan as Hiroko Matsumoto. She was one of Japan's first international models working exclusively for Pierre Cardin in Paris for many years after he noticed her during a trip to Tokyo.
Kyoko turns up first about halfway through the film as part of a group of Japanese clients who have come to see Antoine's boss which you see at the beginning of the clip below. He recovers a bracelet for her and take it to her apartment at around 1:40. At the 8:00 mark, Antoine heads back to her place.

She next appears about 30 seconds into this clip. Then at 3:05, she's having coffee with Antoine and a conversation which surprises him. At 4:20 his wife finds out about Kyoko and chooses a striking way to let him know she knows.

At the beginning of the next clip, the novelty of Kyoko is beginning to wear off for Antoine.

At just after the 4:00 minute mark you can see the relationship unravelling
