Bush: Teaching Waseda how to fail

Postby Samurai_Jerk » Sat Nov 07, 2009 1:54 pm

Albert's post got me curious so I Googled the following article up.

Bush, a former part-owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team, offered no assessment of the choices facing Obama on Afghanistan, climate change or the economy.

Instead, he dished out advice to Japanese university students about running a sports franchise.

"Now I'm retired, so I'm glad to be talking about sports," Bush told an auditorium full of students and staff at Waseda University for a special sports science class.

Bush was generally unpopular in Japan during his time as president because of opposition to the U.S.-led war in Iraq, but you wouldn't know it from the warm reception he received at Waseda.

A cheerleading team performed stunts for him on stage — spelling his name with their pompoms — and attendees reached out to shake his hand.

During his brief speech, Bush outlined key points for developing a successful franchise. ...

The guy was more idiot than evil... If you don't mind, I think we can borrow him for 2 years, we really need an upgrade from Naboleon Sarkozy. (i'd rather ask early since the Italians seems to be needing a replacement too...)

About the baseball franchise, not really sure, but how to be sucessful in Japan, Bush is a great example, you can be important and powerful even if you are a moron as long as your father was important and powerful.
I am not really sure where I am going, I just hope that when I get there, I can sit down because I am sure my feet will be tired.

When Bush was co-owner of the Texas Rangers baseball club, he fired Bobby Valentine.

Recently Bobby Valentine was fired by the Korean owners of the Chiba Lotte Marines baseball club.

Lesson to Waseda: Fire Bobby Valentine.
