Cheap Domestic Flights For Foreign Visitors

Postby Mulboyne » Fri Nov 13, 2009 12:14 pm

Skynet Asia Airlines has announced it will introduce some discount fares for foreign visitors who can show a short term visa stamp in their passports. The deal will be offered on 8 routes including Haneda-Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Nagasaki and Kagoshima and between Naha (in Okinawa) and the same 4 Kyushu cities. You can't book a flight in advance: visitors will have to turn up on the day and see if seats are available. All flights will be 10,000 yen (normal fares for the routes range from 13,000-31,500 yen). The deals are on offer from December 1st.

Because everyone loves going to airport not knowing if they have a ticket..

Tickets should be 1,000 yen for that kind of service..

These are the same as Space Available (SA) Tickets (or the Japanese like to call them Subload tickets) which the people working for the airlines have access to. You show up at the airport and hop on the next plane with the available seating.

I've done it before and flew with ANA to Okinawa round trip for 8000 yen. I'm doing again this winter for Hokkaido.
