F15... smelling like porc barrel...

First it was the cockpit/frame failure, now it seems the rear stab also got their share of shady construction / engineering:

Being a plane that can come back even with a missing wing the outcome was quite unnoticeable...

Meanwhile in France... the Naval Aviation try to gets a little more money by looking as miserable as possible... (somebody told them that those hobos begging at the corner were making a small fortune):

Somebody will have to explain me one day what criteria trigger the promotion of threads to the frontpage... Because this is not exactly a smoking gun...

Only those blessed with an enlarged sense of self and an enlarged Bartholn or Bulbourethral gland may have their threads promoted to the frontpage.

If you don't want it on the front page, click on the radio button in post icons underneath the input window that says "not news".

Good to know, thanks lady...

Did the guys from the BMW IDrive interface got a job for vBulletin after escaping a narrow death by fire from the user(s) who actually tried to use it ?

So a bit broke off, the plane landed safely, the crew walked away and no-one got hit by rogue bits of tailplane. Bits break off all the time, maybe this was a monday-morning example with a faulty cure somewhere that wasn't picked up in ND testing. Who knows how many cycles this part had and whether or not is was due for a replacement?

1. Take faulty part off plane
2. Bolt a new one on
3. No problem

Maybe... except when the same plane already got problems with structural failure due to stress/metal fatigue...

OTOH I don't remember the A6 having more problems after their repair.
