A friend just lent me this DVD. JEEZUS. I really like modern Japanese cinema, like Battle Royale, Ring, Dark Water, Dead or Alive, etc.... and this one does NOT dissapoint. If you don't mind some blood and dark subjects and movies that keep you guessing (even after it's over) then this might be a good one for you. Even though the U.S. has the most EXPENSIVE movies, there is something to be said for creative freedom.

And it was nice to see ROLLY again!

Rolly burned his 15 minutes (which is hard to do in Japan)....but seeing him in this movie proved to me he is doing SOMETHING right.

I have a lot of repect for Jimmy Onishi, too, who played the moron on Japanese TV for years, and retired to do art. He has only recently showed his face on shows with his geinojin friends, like Sanma. I think that is pretty cool. He OWNS his own image.
